How we handle business contact information, and what to do if you would rather we did not.

How we contact businesses
We market our services to other businesses, primarily UK marketing and advertising agencies. If we have contacted you and you want to know why, this page explains it.
What we hold
Business contact information: the business name, its published telephone number, its website and address, its business category, and where publicly listed, the name, job title and work email address of a senior contact.
We do not collect or hold personal telephone numbers, home addresses, personal email addresses, or any special category data.
Where we got it
From publicly available sources — principally public business listings such as Google Business Profiles, the business's own website, the Companies House register of company officers, and commercial business-to-business data providers.
Where we name a director we do so because they are publicly filed as an officer of the company. That record says nothing about them personally beyond their role, and we hold nothing from it but the name and the role.
Why we may lawfully do this
Our legitimate interests in promoting our services to businesses likely to have a use for them (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We have assessed this balance and keep the assessment under review.
Before we telephone any business we screen the number against the Telephone Preference Service and Corporate Telephone Preference Service registers, and we do not call numbers that appear on either.
How long we keep it
Up to 12 months from collection where there has been no engagement, after which it is deleted.
If you ask us not to contact you, we keep the minimum necessary to honour that — normally just the number or email address — for as long as needed to make sure we do not contact you again.
If you have been sent a personalised demo
Some people are sent a link to a demonstration prepared for them by name. Where that is the case, the page says so when it opens.
For those links we record whether the link was opened, how many times, how far through the demonstration it played, how long it was on screen, whether sound was on, and whether the device was a phone or a desktop computer — together with the answers given during the demonstration itself.
No IP address. No location. No browser or device fingerprint. No cursor or scrolling behaviour. Nothing at all is stored on your device — no cookies, no local storage — which is why the page asks you no cookie question.
The per-visit detail is deleted after 30 days and the summary after 180 days. A link that carries no personalisation is not tracked at all.
Your rights
You can ask us to stop contacting you, and to access, correct or delete the information we hold, or object to our use of it.
- Email [email protected] and we will act on it promptly and at no cost.
- You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
A request to stop is honoured in full: the record is erased, and the minimum needed to make sure we do not contact you again is kept for that purpose alone.
